Everyone in Rotterdam knows the Maasboulevard with its stunning views of the river and the Manhattan on the Maas skyline. Behind the Maasboulevard lies the Struisenburg neighborhood. Extending from Oostplein to the stadium of Excelsior football club, the neighborhood surrounds the Buizengat and Boerengat harbors. In the heart of the neighborhood, several large old office buildings have recently been converted into homes for students and young professionals. On the west side of the neighborhood, around Oudedijk and Oostplein, you’ll find numerous restaurants, bars, and charming shops.
